Fountain of Life

In our fast-paced world, it can be challenging to keep our focus on Jesus and live out our faith consistently. Nonetheless, Jesus invites us to keep our eyes on him, take up our cross and follow him each day while embracing the path of discipleship with its joys and challenges.

“Then Jesus said to his disciples, ‘Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.’” – Matthew 16:24 (NIV)

Becoming a disciple of Jesus and taking up our cross daily means to give up anything that would hinder doing the will of God. It is a deep call and decision to die to self for the sake of Christ and fully yield to the will of God with eternity and the kingdom of God in focus.

“And whoever does not take their cross and follow me is not worthy of me.” – Matthew 10:38 (NIV)

As we reflect on the words of Christ and take each step of faith, let’ s embrace the cross entrusted to us. For in its weight lies the journey of discipleship and the path to knowing him more deeply. In taking up our cross, we walk in the footsteps of the one who leads us in keeping the faith until the day of his return and eternal reward.
